It gives you an up close and personal experience with the animals and plants that call this place home as well as how they live their lives outside of captivity. 

Located in Chula Vista, California, this center focuses on wildlife and its interaction with humans on our coastlines. If you have ever wondered why there are no snakes or alligators in our lakes and ponds, now you know! You can learn about the different species that call this area home here including otters, seahorses and sharks among others. There are also many other cool things to see such as a tide pool lab where kids can explore various types of marine life under supervision from adult scientists or sensory stations where kids will be introduced to new soil, rock, sand and bark samples through touch.

The Discovery Coast Discovery Center is home to over 40 exotic animals from around the world. If you visit the Discovery Coast you will be able to see these animals in their natural habitat. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to interact with them in their exhibits.
